Commissioner Pierre Moscovici said Friday that the EU executive
was seeking to continue working positively with Rome "with full
respect of the rules and using all the flexibility at our
disposal," Bloomberg reported. He added that "elections are
never a problem" with Italy set to go to the ballot box early
next year at the latest, but added that they can "arouse
concerns" when there are "populist threats".
