As of December 31 last year some
43,665 people were missing in Italy including 28,000
unaccompanied foreign minors, the extraordinary commissioner for
missing persons, Prefect Vittorio Piscitelli, said Tuesday. Last
year there was a 28% increase in foreign minors. "The data are
alarming," he said in presenting his report at the interior
ministry.
