President Sergio Mattarella said
Friday that Italy must become more united as he took part in a
ceremony marking the 156th anniversary of the country's
unification. "Marking the country's unity is an occasion for
celebration and common commitment to make our country more
united and strong, with conditions of solid, fair and
sustainable development and the contribution as a founding
member of the European Union to overcome the current
difficulties," he said.
