ISTAT said Thursday that Italy's
gross domestic product (GDP) was up by 0.3% in the third quarter
with respect to the previous three months and up by 1% compared
to the same period in 2015.
The quarter-on-quarter figure was the same as the national
statistics agency had given in its preliminary estimate but the
year-on-year one was revised up from 0.9%.
Italy's acquired GDP growth for 2016, what the annual rate
will be if growth is flat for the rest of the year, is 0.9%,
ISTAT said, having revised up its previous estimate of 0.8%.
The government has estimated Italy's economy will grow 0.8%
this year.
