Premier Matteo Renzi said
Thursday 585,000 new jobs have been created since he took office
on February 22, 2014 - a success he chalked up to his Jobs Act
labour reform law. "I would always like to do more," he told RTL
private FM radio. "The reality is that the country has
experienced an improvement, which is still not satisfactory but
that is extraordinary to me... Italy was at a standstill before,
and now it has restarted". The government will field measures in
support of the self-employed in its next budget law, he added.
"We will intervene on the self-employed, especially the young,"
Renzi said.
