Premier Matteo Renzi said Monday he
has no idea whether center-right leader Silvio Berlusconi will
back the government in a referendum on its recently passed
constitutional reform law. "I don't know what Berlusconi will
do," Renzi told journalist Beppe Severgnini in an interview.
"It's impossible to know that. For the time being, he has said
no". A 'Yes' vote on the referendum means acceptance of the
reform. Renzi has said he will step down if the popular vote
doesn't go his way.
