Regional, provincial and municipal
authorities across Italy have drafted a list of 544 properties
in their possession that can be valorised or sold, under a
project promoted by the economy ministry and Italian State
property office, Agenzia del Demanio, presented on Monday.
The list includes historic villas, former army barracks,
industrial plants and sport centers, the ministry and Agenzia
del Demanio said in a statement.
The project, Proposta Immobili, or real estate proposal,
which has reached its second edition, saw the participation of
214 local institutions, also including universities and local
health authorities, according to the statement.
The list of properties will be examined to determine their
final destination thus ''generating resources for public
administrations'' by renovating or selling real estate for new
economic and social enterprises, the statement also said.
