Mayor Virginia Raggi deposited a wreath at the capital's Great
Synagogue Thursday as part of her first official ceremonies on
the day she is to be sworn in.
Raggi also met with Chief Rabbi Riccardo Di Segni and Rome
Jewish community chief Ruth Dureghello, who said the encounter
was "very pleasant".
"We weren't used to it - her predecessors never spent so
much time with us...What do we expect? Like all citizens we
expect concrete activities and work to put things right. For us,
social issues are the most important".
