Parma Mayor Federico Pizzarotti
said Monday that he was in an "intolerable limbo" as he awaits
the 5-Star Movement's response to his appeal against his
suspension from the anti-establishment movement after it emerged
he is being probed over theatre appointments in the city.
"We are still in this intolerable limbo," Pizzarotti said.
"But we are relaxed because the process that has started is not
mentioned in any (M5S) regulation and so we don't feel
suspended.
"The fact that they have not yet realized, that they have
not yet answered, is somewhat paradoxical".
Pizzarotti has denied any wrongdoing and said that the
fact he is under investigation is just a formality.
