The Council of State, Italy's top
administrative court, on Wednesday approved the payment of the
RAI state broadcaster license fee in electricity bills after
receiving assurances from the government. Among the assurances
was the compensation to be given to the electricity companies
that will levy the fee. The government this year changed the way
the fee was to be paid to cut widespread fee-dodging. It also
lowered it to 100 euros.
