Printing money is not a
"sustainable solution" to the economic crisis, German Vice
Chancellor and Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel said Wednesday,
adding that the ECB on its own cannot solve the crisis. "The
problem is not Draghi but an excess of austerity," he went on,
adding that the ECB is not "the heart of the problem but it has
reached its limits". Gabriel was speaking after presenting
Germany's spring forecasts which revised GDP growth down to
1.5%.
