Economy Minister Pier Carlo
Padoan has said Italy will have not any problems with the
European Commission over its economic blueprint, the DEF, or
with the Atlante fund for the banking sector.
Padoan said there was "no risk" on either front in a long
interview that opens on the front page of Wednesday's issue of
financial daily Il Sole 24 Ore.
He said Atlante was a "completely private operation" in
which the government acted only as a "facilitator".
"I don't think there will be problems (on the DEF)," he
added.
"We have talked about it and taken account of some
observations".
