Italian investigators into the
Cairo torture and murder of student Giulio Regeni on Thursday
gave their Egyptian colleagues information on what they had
found on his computer as well as what was learned in an autopsy
performed in Italy after a first one in Egypt, sources said
after the first of two meetings between the two groups in Rome.
The exact content of the meeting is thus far confidential,
judicial sources said.
The Egyptian delegation informed their Rome counterparts
on their activity subsequent to march 14, the day on which
Prosecutor Giuseppe Pignatone and Assistant Prosecutor Sergio
Colaiocco went to Cairo for their first meeting with local
judicial authorities.
The second of the two Rome meetings will take place on
Friday.
