Premier Matteo Renzi said Tuesday
"I'm fed up of a country where sentences don't arrive, public
works are blocked and thieve remain at large. I want the
opposite: I'm urging magistrates to hurry up to catch thieves
and put them in jail. If I block works the country is finished".
Renzi has been criticised for appearing to chide Potenza
magistrates about the slow pace of their probes into a southern
Italian oil project.
