CEO Sergio Marchionne said Tuesday he saw "no reason for
pessimism" in light of February's sales figures.
"February was a decent month for sales both in Canada and
the United States, as well as in Europe and Italy," Marchionne
said.
"I can't see negative elements with the exception of Latin
America. There is no reason for pessimism," he added.
The CEO also said the Italo-American group would "try to do
its best" to reach full employment by 2018.
Marchionne then explained that only two out of six new Alfa
models had been postponed until "after 2018".
He also denied talks with PSA Peugeot Citroen amid fresh
rumours of a possible merger between the two groups.
