Four Italian movies will be in the running for the Golden Lion at the 72nd Venice Film Festival, which runs September 2-12, organizers announced on Wednesday. They are Marco Bellocchio's Sangue del Mio Sangue (Blood of my Blood), Luca Guadagnino's A Bigger Splash, Piero Messina's L'Attesa dell'Esordiente (The Wait of the Debutant) and Giuseppe Gaudino's Per Amor Vostro (For Your Love). There are also several other Italian films being presented out of competition and in the Orizzonti (Horizons) section at the world's oldest film festival.
