Democratic Party (PD) Lower House
whip Roberto Speranza said Monday he hopes dissenting PD voices
on the government's proposed 'Italicum' electoral reform bill
will be heard or the party may split. "I call for the use of
every possible margin" to reconcile the majority and the
dissenting minority, he told a meeting of the PD executive.
Speranza added he is "available to find an agreement" within the
PD. "I will reintroduce the need to seek mediation (in order to)
make changes to the electoral bill," he said before the meeting.
