Premier Matteo Renzi on Monday
wrote his newly sworn-in Greek counterpart Alexis Tsipras to
congratulate him on winning the Greek general election at the
weekend.
"The challenge that awaits you is surely a demanding one,"
the center-left premier wrote the leader of the leftist
anti-austerity SYRIZA party.
"An entire continent follows the Greek situation with great
attention".
Renzi signed off with "my sincerest congratulations and my
friendliest greetings".
