"In 2015 we will ensure that
good schools are no longer just a slogan but become an
established fact," Premier Matteo Renzi said Thursday.
Speaking in Brussels, Renzi said "the great educational
challenge starts with the school".
"Where does a community start again from? From the school,"
said Renzi.
The importance of education in society has been highlighted
recently by terrorists attacks on schools, demonstrating how
radicals realize that undermining studies undermines society.
He noted that the Taliban has targeted schools in Pakistan,
which "they go and bomb in their lucid madness".
