European Commission plans
to focus on economic growth and investment over the next five
years, presented by President Jean-Claude Juncker on Wednesday,
are "right", said Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini.
"The priority will be to work on [investment] and I believe
we have the right team to do so," Mogherini said.
Juncker promises an investment package "by Christmas", said
Mogherini.
Mogherini said that she's "satisfied" with the European
Parliament vote that approved the Juncker-led commission on
Wednesday, where 60.5% of the 699 MEPs present voted yes after
some strenuous quizzing.
Mogherini will become EU high representative for foreign
affairs and security policy on November 1.
