(ANSA)- Strasbourg, September 22 - The European Court of
Human Rights has not admitted appeals by ex-premier Silvio
Berlusconi against the tax-fraud conviction that has barred him
from office, the ECHR told ANSA Monday, denying a statement
Friday by Berlusconi lawyer Piero Longo. The ECHR said the
appeals have only been registered. Forza Italia leader
Berlusconi said Sunday the alleged OK to examining his appeals
was the prelude to his full return to the fray after being
ejected from the Senate for the conviction last year.
