2017 was another record year for
Italian tourism with arrivals 5.3% up, ISTAT said Tuesday.
Tourist presences were 4.4% up on 2016 at more than 420
million, the statistics agency said.
Arrivals were 5.3% up at 123 million, with growth above the
EU average.
Germany was confirmed as the top country of provenance of
foreign tourists in Italy with 14.15 of presences registered,
ISTAT said.
It was followed by France, the UK and the US with quotas of
around 3% each.
