Agriculture Minister Maurizio
Martina on Friday announced that a "Festival of Milk" will be
held May 29 at Milan Expo 2015, speaking on the sidelines of the
inauguration for the Grana Padana cheese factory at the Cascina
Triulza farmstead venue, where the Civil Society Pavilion is
housed.
Martina said the event will be one of a series of similar
events, and that milk was chosen because it "represents an
amazing metaphor, a symbol of how production and land can be
linked".
"This is a sector made up of small and medium businesses,
culture of the local land, that we want the world to know and to
take away from Expo," Martina said.
