French director Justine Triet's
Anatomy of a Fall has won the best international film prize at
the David di Donatello awards, Italy's Oscars, organisers said
Friday.
The domestic drama about a woman, played by German actress
Sandra Hüller, being put on trial after her fellow writer and
husband falls to his death at their home in the mountains, with
their half-blind young son a key witness, will receive the award
on May 3, they said.
Anatomy of a Fall beat four rivals including As Bestas by
Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Kuolleet Lehdet (Leavs in the Wind) by Aki
Kaurismaki, Killers of the Flower Moon by Martin Scorsese, and
Oppenheimer by Christopher Nolan.
