The cabinet on Wednesday gave
final approval to three decrees enacting Italy's new cinema law,
boosting the number of films to be shown on prime-time TV as
well as broadcasters' investments, safeguarding the sector's
professional levels and abolishing censorship. Culture Minister
Dario Franceschini said the decrees were "concrete measures that
serve to help, protect and valorise Italian cinema, TV serials
and creativity.
