Rome's Auditorium Parco della
Musica is celebrating its first 15 years with a new season
including 500 events, four festivals and 200 performances
starring, among others, singer-songwriter Bob Dylan and pop star
Anastacia.
Artists to perform this year will also include violinist Ara
Malikian, funk master Marcus Miller, jazz pianist Danilo Rea and
Italian singers and song-writers including Max Gazzè, Carmen
Concoli, Saniele Silvestri and Fiorella Mannoia.
Among festivals, the Lithuanian fest will celebrate the
country's 100th anniversary of independence.
Nobel peace prize laureate Tawakkol Abdel-Salam Karman and
Lithuanian theater director Eimuntas Nekrosius will be among the
guests of cultural events organized at the Auditorium.
"It will be a season of an increasingly high quality and full
of new things", said the CEO of Musica per Roma, José R. Dosal.
"After a record year in 2016 with nine million euros in
revenues and 300,000 paying spectators, as of October 31, 2017,
we have registered an 8% increase in the paying public and a 9%
increase in presences".
