Rome Mayor Ignazio Marino said

"Central scaffolding to be dismantled beginning today," the
mayor tweeted.
Fendi fashion house is footing the 2.12-million-euro bill
for the renovations ton the landmark monument built between 1732
and 1762 above an ancient Roman aqueduct.
Since renovations began on June 4, 1.6 million tourists
have visited the 18th-century Baroque masterpiece by Nicola
Salvi immortalized by movie stars Anita Ekberg and Marcello
Mastroianni in Federico Fellini's film La Dolce Vita.
The second phase entails renovating the side sections and
the sculpture of Oceanus (god of all water) in the central
niche.
The fountain made out of Travertine stone was last restored
23 years ago.
