A parish priest in Grosseto has
reported a bogus Easter blessing visit scam urging locals not to
leave their doors open at the "unlikely" times announced in the
fake announcements posted on homes.
"The phone number on the announcements is not the parish's, and
the dates and times indicated are improbable," said the priest
of the populous Gorarella district in the southern Tuscan
coastal city.
"We urge the quarter's residents not to give credit to those
notices, and above all not to leave their doors open.
"Anyone with any doubts can call our parish number".
