Winter sales are set to officially
start across Italy on Wednesday, after starting early in Sicily
and Basilicata on Sunday and in Val d'Aosta on Monday.
The only exception is Trentino-Alto Adige where shopkeepers will
be able to choose when to start their sales and some tourist
areas may wait until March 5.
Retail group Confesercenti says four out of 10 Italians are
eager to get bargains with an average spending budget of 120-150
euros.
The overall turnover, according to retail group Confcommercio,
will be over 4.2 billion euros.
