The former lead inspector for
the Italian justice ministry has been placed under investigation
for graft in Naples.
Magistrate Andrea Nocera is suspected of conspiracy to
commit corruption with an ex-Senator for Silvio Berlusconi's
centre-right Forza Italia (FI) party, Salvatore Lauro, and ship
owner Salvatore Di Leva, judicial sources said.
Nocera is suspected of tipping Lauro off on a probe against
him in exchange for travel tickets and the free remixing of a
tyre, police said.
