The Lazio
regional administrative court (TAR) on Friday annulled the
dissolution of the municipal government of the Calabrian city of
Lamezia Terme decided by the government in 2017 over
infiltration by local crime syndicate 'Ndrangheta.
Former Mayor Paolo Mascaro wrote on Facebook that the "honor
of a city has been restored".
Mascaro also wrote that this happened thanks "to a judiciary
that has fought and is fighting against crime by defeating it, a
community that has fought and is fighting crime daily, of many
free women and men who dedicate and sacrifice their lives with
courage and passion to the place they love".
