An ER ward in a Naples
hospital was closed after an invasion of ants on Wednesday,
local sources said.
Surgical admissions at the ER at the San Giovanni Bosco
Hospital were halted for over an hour, from 12 o'clock to after
one o'clock, "because of the ants," said Green regional
councillor Francesco Emilio Borrelli, a member of Campania's
health committee.
Borrelli said the incident was "of an unprecedented gravity".
On November 10, in the same hospital, the case of an
intubated woman crawling with ants garnered headlines across
Italy.
