An inspector with the judicial
police at the Trapani prosecutor's office lost three fingers on
Monday when a USB flash drive he inserted into a computer
exploded.
The flash drive had been sent to a local attorney over a year
ago, with the return address of the Trapani Bar Association.
After the attorney verified with the association that it had
not sent the envelope, she delivered it to the judicial police.
The envelope evidently remained untouched for over a year
until the inspector inserted it into the computer on Monday,
when it exploded.
