Italian postal police said
Thursday they had uncovered a blackmail spamming scam in which
Web users were threatened with being exposed for visiting porn
sites.
Thousands of Italians received threatening emails warning
them their accounts had been hacked and they would be exposed
unless they paid $300 in Bitcoins within 48 hours, the police
said.
They have told the public not to pay up.
