Boycott calls after LIDL scrubs crosses

'An accident' says supermarket chain

(ANSA) - Rome, October 11 - Rightwing and conservative parties called for a boycott of LIDL Wednesday after the supermarket chain scrubbed crosses off some churches in its latest posters.
"Let's boycott those branches," said Brothers of Italy leader Giorgia Meloni.
LIDL said the cancellation of the crosses was "an oversight, a glitch" which had happened by accident.
