Tax police anti-corruption units
and national anti-corruption authority (ANAC) agents on Monday
searched offices of Rome airport company Aeroporti di Roma SpA
to seize documents on a contract to design and build the new
central airport docking pier, Molo C, sources said.
The consortium that landed the contract included Cimolai
SpA, Gozzo Impianti SpA, Consta SpA and Tecnica y Proyectos Sa.
The inspection was ordered by ANAC, sources said.
Work on Molo C, developing Fiumicino Airport's E and F
boarding areas, is scheduled to be completed in December.
The project is worth just over 100 million euros.
