A fire brigade official said
Thursday four bodies are visible and two more people may be
trapped under the rubble of the Hotel Roma in the
earthquake-stricken mountain village of Amatrice.
A search is ongoing for two young hotel guests whose
identification documents were found in the debris, said Carlo
Cardinali from the fire brigade.
He also confirmed 20 guests fled before the hotel collapsed
following a 6.2-magnitude quake before dawn yesterday.
Cardinali admitted there may be more than six victims
trapped under the remains of the hotel, and that its owners
confirmed there were about 30 guests.
The two missing young people own a van parked near the
hotel, he added.
He also said fire fighters at the moment are searching for
a total of 15 people reported as missing.
