The European Union said
Wednesday ready to send aid to Italy after a devastating 6.0
magnitude earthquake left scores dead in central mountain
regions. "The EU is ready to help," European Commissioner for
Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides
tweeted in Italian. "My sympathies to the families of the
victims".The Italian Bishops' Conference (CEI) said Wednesday it
is allocating one million euros for earthquake relief after a
6.0 magnitude seism left dozens dead in central Italy. The CEI
also called for a national donation drive to take place in all
churches in Italy on September 18 to aid the stricken areas.
