A thief died early on Monday
after being crushed to death by an ATM he and three accomplices
had removed from an Eurospin discount supermarket in the
northern Lombardy town of Carpenedolo.
The robbers took off in a minivan but crashed and flipped
their getaway vehicle shortly after, leaving one dead and one
with a leg injury.
The three survivors tried to flee on foot, but Carabinieri
police arrested them soon after.
