A 16-year-old girl was found
guilty of conspiring to murder her parents and was sentenced to
18 years in prison in a fast-track trial on Tuesday.
Fabio Giacconi, a non-commissioned Italian Air Force
officer, and his wife Roberta Pierini, both died after their
daughter's ex-boyfriend Antonio Tagliata, who was 18 at the
time, shot them on November 7, 2015.
Tagliata has said his ex-girlfriend, who has not been named
because of her age, hatched the plan to murder her parents, who
were against their relationship.
He is being tried separately, and a preliminary
investigations judge is scheduled to hear the results of his
psychiatric evaluation tomorrow.
