Two road workers are dead after
being hit by an out-of-control lorry while working on the 7bis
State highway in the southern town of Nola, near Naples, sources
with highway agency ANAS said on Friday.
Two other workers are injured, one of whom is in a critical
condition.
The two dead workers were hit by the truck, which ran off
the road, and dragged for about 15 metres, sources said.
According to initial reports, the crew was working to clean
roadside ditches for ANAS.
