A 19-year-old woman is dead
after being hit by a high-speed Frecciarossa train at Milan's
Certosa station at around 8:00 local time on Thursday, ANSA
sources said.
The woman was hit as she crossed the rail tracks while
listening to music with headphones on, according to an initial
reconstruction by railway police, the sources said.
Some train services in the Milan area were delayed by up
to 40 minutes on Thursday morning as a result of the accident,
as investigators needed to examine the scene.
