Italy come low in the ranking of
European Union and OECD countries for inequalities among
children living in high-income countries, according to a UN
children's agency UNICEF report published Thursday.
The report ranks countries on the basis of inequalities in
income, education, health and life satisfaction based on data
from 2013, with those showing the greatest differences coming
nearest to the bottom.
Italy came 35th out of 41 countries for relative income gap
between children, 22nd out of 37 for school results, 28th out of
35 for health and 22nd out of 35 for life satisfaction.
Overall Italy had an average ranking of 32nd out of 35
EU/OECD countries.
Denmark came top of the ranking and Israel came bottom.
