The husband of Liliana
Bartolini, 51, found with her throat cut near Bologna on the
night between Tuesday and Wednesday, has confessed to murdering
her after a row about an alleged affair he was having, judicial
sources said Thursday.
Andrea Balboni, a 52-year-old taxi driver, had been
detained Wednesday after failing to persuade investigators of
his innocence during a long questioning session.
Bartolini was found dead in her home at Miravalle di
Molinella with a deep wound to her throat.
The husband, who said he found the body after coming home
late, reported it to authorities.
