An elderly woman is dead
and Italian actor Gabriel Garko is in hospital in shock after an
explosion early on Monday at a villa that was hosting the
performer in the northern city of Sanremo, ANSA sources said.
The blast at approximately 9.00 Italian time at Villa della Rosa
in the residential Solaro district caused part of the building
to collapse, the sources said. Garko was staying at the villa to
prepare to take part in the popular Sanremo Song Festival, which
takes place in the Ligurian coastal city next week.
