Video footage and witness
accounts have led to the arrest of an Italian pharmacy robber
who was given away by his clumsy behaviour during hold-ups.
Michele Porcelluzzi, 38, was identified after mumbling when
asking for money from a cashier and then falling severely
following one raid in Barletta, Puglia.
During the robbery on October 9, he was forced to lift his
face covering when sales assistants could not understand what he
was saying. By doing so, he revealed some missing teeth.
After snatching some money, on the way out he slipped over
in the rain, revealing parts of his legs to video cameras as he
limped away.
As a result, Italian police were able to identify and
arrest Porcelluzzi, who is also believed to be responsible for
another pharmacy raid in Barletta.
