Both carriageways of the A1
motorway reopened fully to traffic on Tuesday between Orte and
Rome following the termination of clean-up operations made
necessary after a tanker carrying liquid propane gas overturned.
The incident involving the tanker and a lorry occurred on
Monday on the stretch of motorway between Orte and Ponzano
Romano.
Two people were hurt in the accident and there were long
tailbacks for motorists.
