A 40-year-old engineer from Sierra Leone who was placed in isolation Wednesday in the infectious disease ward of Genoa's San Martino hospital with a suspected case of Ebola does not have fever at the moment but he may be ill with malaria, doctors said on Thursday.
Preliminary blood tests will have to be repeated in 24 hours to confirm the malaria diagnosis, medical sources said.
