A 73-year-old man was put
under house arrest after he allegedly killed his son with a
gunshot blast to the chest in the family home in northeast
Italy, police said Tuesday.
Franco Dri allegedly shot his 47-year-old son Federico Dri
after years of quarrels over the younger man's drug abuse,
according to police.
Prosecutors in Pordenone, north of Venice, did not ask
police to hold the accused in prison because of his health
condition.
Federico Dri was taken to hospital with serious injuries
caused by the gunshot blast late Monday night and died there.
