A million Chinese tourists are expected to come to Milan for Expo 2015, said Zhang Ping, a vice chairman in the Chinese parliament and head of a Chinese parliamentary delegation currently touring Italy, on Friday.
Ping said that over 500,000 Expo tickets have already been sold in China.
"[Expo] is another occasion for China and Italy to reinforce their reciprocal collaboration and cooperation to determine the development and wellbeing of their countries' people," Ping said.
Ping spoke in an interview from Perugia, where the Chinese delegation met with the president of the Umbria region, Catiuscia Marini, and president of the Umbrian regional council, Eros Brega.
